Crops where it can be applied

A strap is a continuous band made of different materials, such as polypropylene, polyester, etc.

It is used in industry or in the transport of goods for the fastening of loads, or in the construction as a fastening element. Its materials and dimensions vary according to its field of application.

Technical information

Straps are manufactured in different materials.

They are usually made of polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET)

They are usually used in sectors such as metallurgy, construction, hardware, logistics, chemicals, food, agriculture or paper.

Additional Information

  • Automatic PP strapping
  • Semi-automatic PP strapping
  • PP Strapping Manual → Especially recommended for packing in the field.
  • Automatic PET strapping
  • Semi-automatic PET strapping
  • Textile Straps (Hot-Melt)

Straps are usually made of polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET).

Polypropylene (PP) is the thermoplastic, partially crystalline polymer obtained from the polymerisation of propylene (or propene). Its application can be either manual, semi-automatic or automatic.

However, polyester (PET) is a plastic resin obtained through a chemical reaction and is highly resistant to moisture and chemicals. Its application can be in automatic or semi-automatic.

Its main advantage is to secure and stabilize the load.

Polypropylene (PP) strapping provides good support for light loads, while polyester (PET) strapping is more suitable for heavier loads that need to be outdoors, as it can withstand moisture better.
